Geography Data Resources

Home Page

Welcome to the Geosciences Faculty resources site for data resources and facilities. At the top of the page you will find links to lists of Data Resources and Research Facilities, under data resources you will find websites to download data from like PDOK or the CBS data portal. Under research facilities you will find facilities for high performance computing like PRACE or Cartesius, research consortiums like the European Plate Observation System, and communities for platforms such as TROPOMI.

We are still in early stages of creating this site and are trying to find the best way to categorize and organize the resources.

“Research infrastructure” means the facilities, resources and/or related services that are used by the scientific community to conduct top-level research in their respective fields. A key feature of many research infrastructure projects is to provide (often free of charge) access to facilities, data and services to researchers outside the projects themselves. The aim is to pool resources for top-level research.
An extensive overview of European research infrastructures for Geosciences is provided at https://envri.eu/. Here we focus on the infrastructure projects providing data or facility access for geoscientific research.
